Macarenia is a multi-sensory abstracted ecosystem that celebrates spontaneous joy of being lost. It is a liminal space of magic where color and memory meet. Macarenia clavigera is the scientific name of the endemic aquatic plant species that gives the Caño Cristales river in Colombia its vibrant coloring. This river is commonly known as the Liquid Rainbow.

Macarenia is found in the Ossuary Anchor Space in the Convergence Station Exhibition.
